On the subject of horns, does the horn button unscrew to facilitate
removal of the steering wheel. I had the embarrasment of using the horn
yesterday and having it stay on, in the middle of Ponsonby Rd. I noticed
that the Momo symbol was not in it's customary position relative to the
wheel and when I turned it back, the horn stopped. I assume that the
button screws off so you can remove the wheel?

Sorry for the resend (if indeed the other comes thru) - I think the
original was probably grabbed by the spam filter.

OK guys. I have an electrical problem on the car resulting in my horn
not working.
Normally this is not an issue because being a big bloke, I just yell at
people and that seems to work. However when I mentioned this to the guy
at the testing station he seemed unimpressed (so much for thinking
outside the square) - thus no WOF.
Anyway I was hoping that there was a member on the North Shore who may
know about electrics and was willing to help and have a poke under the
hood.
Any help gladly received.
Chris

Beeping problems
The horn button does need to come off to remove the steering wheel. When I
last had need to change the steering wheel I needed to buy a set of pullers.
They are not expensive (Super Cheap in fact) but you are welcome to borrow
mine.

Thanks David,
I am, in fact, contemplating changing the wheel sometime, but i was more
interested in trying to find out why it jammed on

I think that the horn button is just pressed on and can be removed by careful
use of a flat blade type tool. Your wife's best steak carving knife would
probably do it.
