MX5 Service ?

Post by jolyon39 » Tue May 02, 2006 7:12 pm

Hi,

I have just purchased my car and looked for someone to take the car to.

I just took my car to City Motors in town, tel 379 5649, and was very
comfortable with the service. I also have been to Anzac motors in Browns Bay
to get a copy of a receipt for major work done by the previous owner. They
is also appear to be a very professional company

Hi Roy & Sue
Yes there is an issue with rear plastic window cracking in South Island,
it happened to us just 6 weeks ago..basically don't put your top down
until the plastic has warmed up or it will shatter. I was fortunate
enough to obtain a new roof after an insurance claim as technically
speaking the plastic 'shattered' and was considered a breakage accident
rather than wear and tear so be careful what words you use to describe
what happens. It however was not considered a glass claim since plastic
is not glass and so incurred the normal excess of a claim (but not the
loss of no claim bonus).
