BEAT THE FUEL PRICE

Post by Bill Rehm » Fri Apr 28, 2006 7:26 pm

Wise move, at least between 1 May and 31 July, DON'T purchase petrol at
Shell (and no, that time-frame was NOT included in my original message
as it was irrelevant to the message's central theme ... hope that hasn't
also confused you further)

Bill, don't be such a noddy!

Surely you know, after all your years haunting this list, that there are no
attachments allowed?!!

THE LETTER FROM SHELL DID NOT MAKE IT TO THE LIST.

We have no idea what the secret offer was that Shell made to you.

That's probably why we didn't feel qualified to pass comment on the matter
... well, that and the fact that we are bored with you.

Ciao

You got that right Kate,,,

Most of us have no idea what the "Flybuys" things was about.

So. make your fingers do the walking,,, (over the keyboard), and

enlighten those of us who are so darned inert. After all, we have

two vehicles, and usually use Shell.

Dear Bill,

The reasons that you did not get the replies you wanted are numerous.
Allow me to help with some of the more obvious:

1) Most of the people on this list are intelligent enough to know that
writing to Shell and telling them that their plan "Sucks" and that they
are "greedy bastards" wont work. Shell will simply look at the quality
of the letter and delete it thinking that it was from a educationally
subnormal person who cannot put together a constructive argument.

2) You rant so often that it has lost its impact on everyone here.

Another funny point to note is that you are the same guy that said
taking any action and writing to a Member of Parlimant would be a
useless waste of time - but think that your pathetic email and threat
will save the world and bring the petrol prices down to 70c a liter.
HA!

Anyway best of luck to you. When petrol prices drop at Shell and the
other companies follow because the are quivering with fear about
receiving a email from Bill I will be a happy man.

Dont bother repling directly - your emails blocked.

Yours with Tongeincheek

There was NO attachment . and the letter did make the list.

You're spending too much time with your four-footed furry friends Kate .
and starting to pick up some of their traits.

regardless of fuel prices, I'd still like to know what the air-speed
velocity of an unladen european swallow is, bearing in mind the
incorrect answer will result in certain death...

Graeme if you're out there send me an email, I've lost yours and mine
has been giving me untold gyp :(

Cheers

oops in case you don't know me, I used to post here about 3 or 4 years
ago when I had D4NGER, she got sold when the practicality of being in a
band took over :( but the missus still has her NZ new 1994 model,
which I sometimes let her drive :P

Nope - just checked and they were still there. Heck I even named one
after you. From now on my left one is called Billy-Ball.

Tonight I had to fill up my wife's Landcruiser (now there is a car thats
expensive to run), anyway - I deliberately filled up at Shell. I don't do
the flybuys 'thing', but at least I know I wont run into you. I cannot
be the only one - there were 2 MX5's filling up at the same time (At
Ferry road station ChCh - you MX5'ers know who you were).
