new topic; Remove my name? Some MX5 Content

Post by Vince » Sat Apr 15, 2006 6:31 pm

For those getting sick of the aforementioned bantering, zorruno had a
suggestion the other day. I've taken the liberty of sending it again for
those who wish to make use of it. Vince.

Thanks for that. I'd never seen that tips list before, but it's very good ,as is most of the stuff that zorruno organises regarding this list.

I don't think anyone needs to be banned or restricted, and there is nothing wrong with freedom of speech. I just think that some folk need to be reminded what the list is about, and that not everyone is a genius/literary giant/mensa member/senior computer programmer/head mechanic etc.
Most of us are just "average Joe" who want to learn how to get the most out of our car in the easiest and cheapest possible way with the help of like minded enthusiasts. This forum is great and I've learned lots from it.

I hate to see that people are unsubscribing because of the public battles that are waged, and can only imagine what this means to the physical numbers in the club membership. Will people unsubscribe from coming out on club events or unsubscribe from renewing their membership or (even worse) from beginning as a new member??
Someone said last week, "If you've got nothing nice to say, then best say nothing", and I couldn't agree more.
This forum is a global voice of New Zealand MX5 owners, and who wants to be internationally judged as a bunch of bickering old women who can hardly run a thread without it rapidly degrading into a slanging match?
Let's leave it as it is, but remember to read the forum rules when any of us feel the urge to "have a go" at someone else.

Just my penny's worth.

cheers all, and have a good easter

People should loosely stick to the tips listed at:
http://www.mx5club.org.nz/emaillists/nzmx5list/tips/
and generally conduct themselves in a civilised manor.

If you as a list member think that someone is not doing the above, you
are welcome to request that they be 'banned' or restricted from posting.
