PURLEE'S BACK!!!!

Post by EricW » Tue Apr 04, 2006 4:39 pm

Hi Folks,

After a month and two days Purlee is back on the road!

I have to say that, if you are going to have a bingle, that was not a bad way
to come out of it, she looks perfect, new bonnet, new right wing, new hood and
a fantastic paint job.

I know I have said this before, but honestly, the guys at Hibiscus
Panelbeaters do an amazing job.

It is strange though, how your personal things become personal to you.

Before the crash, Purlee was not perfect, she was pretty good, but the
headlight did not line up perfectly with the bonnet, there were a few little
fade patches and knocks, she had a character of her own, and that, like your
wife's wrinkles, is what you know and love about her.

Peversely, right now she is just too perfect, and I guess that it will take a
little while to get some of the character back, I will just have to take her
and give her a good thrash round, just to get the feeling back

Eric

Hi Eric,

Congrats on finally getting your baby back.

I find supermarket shopping and carparks very good for adding "character" to
my car, usually in a delightfully contrasting colour to Chaste white.

Runaway trolleys are excellent for giving that proper "lived in", or "just
dinged" look, a must for Auckland drivers :O)

Congrats Eric. Enjoy the "state of perfection" for the brief time it
will last (i.e. car parks, supermarkets, etc.) :-)
