A product that works

Post by EricW » Sun Feb 19, 2006 5:25 pm

Our car,PURLEE is a 94 with the standard factory alloy wheels,

I have never really found anything that cleaned the wheels easily, and the
best I had found to date was a Mothers product in a spray pump bottle, but it
still needed a toothbrush to really start to get the wheels clean.

I ran out, so went down to Repco today to get some more and found it was out
of stock, so I bought some Polyglaze Foaming Wheel Cleaner, which the guy in
the store recommended as being pretty good.

The stuff is unreal.Talk about easy! Spray it on a cold wheel, wait 30
seconds, wipe it with a wet rag and hose it off. Wheels like new!

Does not seem to be too corrosive either.

So I am happy to recommend it as one of those "Things that work"

Eric

A product that works

Hmmm to clean my wheels I normally just use meths... and since you still
have to wipe off the wheel polishing product, why not just use meths and
skip the waiting and the cost of the bottle of foam...

I tried meths, but I find it leaves a film, however, what works for you is
fine, this stuff works better than anything else I have tried

Some of the Aussie guys have started using a wheel wax.

Apparently it coats the wheel and makes it easier to wash the brake dust
off; and stops the dust attacking the wheel.

requires Level 3 or higher.
