I still hate cats - Need a new Seat

Post by poison » Fri Jan 06, 2006 3:33 pm

Happy New Year everyone.

After many hours of cleaning and spending $$$ I still can't get rid of the
"cat spray" smell from my passenger seat, and in fact it seems to be getting
worse. It's really not so cool to pick up a nice young lady and have them get
in the car expecting to hear "wow nice car" but instead getting "ohhh what's
that smell" (no funny comments thankyou...)

So I'm giving up. Does anyone have a black NA seat (or pair of) in reasonable
condition they would like to sell, or even better perhaps a pair of NB model
seats.

Cheers

Gazza

i bought a pair of NB seats from ross - they bolt straight in and are
a sweet upgrade.
you lose your headrest speakers though.
talk to ross - he may trade your good seat.

If you can get hold of a set of High Backed 2001+ NB seats they're MUCH
better than the old NA and NB seats.

I would love a set myself.

- Dave.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Hi Gazza,

Used to run a taxi business in UK before coming here. You can imagine the
problems we had sometimes with the late Sat night crowd out of Brighton. I
found the only sure way to clean seats was to take out of the car stand on
lawn wash with gallons of water loaded with both household disinfectant and
washing up liquid. scrub it all over till completely dripping wet. After about
30 minutes use garden hose and wash out all the previous disinfectant soap etc
really soak it again and then leave to dry in the sun. This never failed.
Fortunately I ran a minibus and had spare seats.

Before you get different seats, try them if you can. I don't think our 1998
NB seats are as well shaped as the 1992 NA ones. Both are leather so that
will make a difference. It appears the early NB seats were not as good as
the later ones or the NA's. However they might suit you of course.
Good luck with whatever you finish up with.

Hi Gazza

I have a pair of black seats, later model, cloth, without speakers if you
want to have a look. They are surplus to requirements as I had to use a
different style of seat.

Cheers
