Ignition button

Post by busterboyd » Wed Aug 24, 2011 8:29 pm

I am about to fit a Moss motors ignition button into my NB model MX5 in place of the cigarette lighter
It seems to be straight forward but can some one advise
1-The colour of the correct wire for the "starter wire" from the key.
2- The colour of the wire which "feeds" power to the lights on the dash so I can wire the switch to this also.
The other option is to advise where I can get a copy of the wiring diagram for the car ?
Cheers
I enjoy the car , just a little more power is required !!

Wiring diagrams here. Bear in mind that they are US however there are not a lot of differences.

From memory, dash lights are red with black trace, can't remember the starter wire.

Shame you didn't check on the forum first, Brownie at Mazline in CH has had the button kits for some time.
