Recommendation: Sony Stereo Unit

Post by R LTD » Sun May 20, 2007 9:26 pm

I recently replaced the original Pioneer setup in the MX5. Fitted a Sony CDX GT460u and can thoroughly recommend it. Comes with an auxilary and USB port for connecting a MP3 player, ipod or using a flash drive instead of CD for one's personalised music collection. Price on special $273 from Repco. :D

yum yum...
really really like the usb input.. You can get 2 gigabyte usb's for about $27 from pconlineshop and 2 gigs is a HEAP of music.....better than worrying about scratching CD's.

Good choice!
I installed a Sony head unit a yr or so back in large measure because most models are available without, in my view, the hideous 'bling' facias of many of the opposition CD players. Gives a much more integrated look.
The bluetooth phone compatible MEXBT500 looks the business!!

just one question about the sony usb input. Does it go in the side of the faceplate or straight in the front?.Thnking of getting one for the sister in laws pulsar which wont suit a side entry usb as the dash obscures the sides
