Airbag Light

Post by Grant » Sat Jul 01, 2006 3:22 pm

I had a problem with mine not long after I bought it. When I put the right
indicator on, the airbag light flashed in time with the indicator and the
engine died immediately (going around a roundabout at 5pm of course!).
In my case I found the problem to be poor earthing. Behind the right
headlight there are a number of earth points. I repaired those and all has
been fine since. This did require removal of the headlight.
As a starting point I would check all earths and any plugs you can get at
for fitting properly. If that's not it then it's a job for the experts. Hate
to have an airbag go off unnecessarily.

Where are the airbag carch sensors?

Post by poison » Thu Jul 27, 2006 9:13 am

where are the sensors that make the air bag go off? I have my bumper off to improve my intercooler mounting and can't see anything that looks like a sensor,

Cheers
