Central locking problems

Post by secutor » Sat Oct 24, 2015 8:44 pm

1990 NA Eunos Roadster

I have an aftermarket alarm and central locking. When I unlock the car the drivers side door doesn't unlock properly (the slider on the door goes from locked position to halfway, not unlocked) and the passenger side has the opposite problem. It doesn't lock properly. Has anybody had this problem before and can anybody help me? I've tried lubricating the locking mechanism.

if the central locking is aftermarket, they have a connector that attaches to the actuator rod and uses 2 screws to lock it in place. these can move over time so you may need to reset the position of it.
