starter button in nb.

Post by malcster » Sun Sep 30, 2012 7:36 pm

trying to put one in but not sure which wires are the 2x from the ignition barrel as they say they are the 2x thick ones but they all look about the same thickness and apparantly they are the 2x that go to the starter motor solenoid(whatever that looks like)..as you can tell a bit of a newbie :D
Thanks.

Probably best not to post exactly what wires it is on the web. Would make it pretty easy for someone to hotwire your car.

If you have a multimeter you can work it out pretty easily
flick me a pm if you cant work out how

Can't say I see the point in adding a starter button to be honest.....A previous owner had installed one in my MR2 turbo.

Turn key (not too far otherwise you just start it the normal way)....then press the starter button....It was just far easier and faster simply starting the car with the key (i.e. just keep turning it to engage the starter)

I think I used it 5 times...apart from the times that my knee accidently knocked it when driving
