no spark no.2 and no.3 cyl help needed asap

no spark on cyl 2 and 3
, 1 and 4 are fine, coils primary and secondary have acceptable resistance (against w/shop manual)
ecu has nott burnt blocks, nor any burns underneath the board
fuses are all fine.

......any ideas whats causing it?

ignitor module?
by the way DO NOT pull the leads and crank the engine to check for spark...you will F*** the coil packs
oh and also the wiring loom to the coils can get damaged on the rear of the inlet plenum where it is is cable tied to the plenum

cheers, makes sense that one coil is getting signals and one not.

used a tester for the spark, the large gap tends to make a hot spark and fu*ks the coils really good. over time obviously

yep, was bang on the money, odd as to what caused it to fail but guess thats the chance you take with electrical components lol

the workshop manual is only good for things you know but cant remember lol, diagnosing.....fail haha na im glad its sorted, just ticking over the 200km mark on the new engine

theres been more than a few stories of cars going into workshops with something like a cas fault and when fault finding, the mechs have fried the coils...i wouldnt chance it.
not having the path to earth for the coil voltage causes the voltage in the coilpack to skyrocket. the insulation in the coil internals cannot withstand this extreme voltage and they die. cars which seem to eat coilpacks need to have the engine earths looked at.
