EOI: Group Buy for Frame Rails

Post by viscarious » Thu Mar 29, 2012 9:47 pm

Hey there Chaps, I was thinking of making some frame rails if I can get enough people interested in them. They are still in the design stage at the moment, but thinking of charging around $140 for the pair of rails out of 2mm Mild Steel. I can make them from Stainless aswell, but that would cost around $200.

Is there interest in this product?

Regards
David

Yes...preferably stainless...and light. I note Flyin Miata have recently modified their design to reduce the weight.

Keen. Would love to make my car technically have even less clearance between rails and road surface :P

Brace around the frame rails under the car. They firm them up as well as protecting them from scrapes and whatnot, something I certainly have issues with.

can you make one of the rails wider so the fuel lines can be tucked under it

After seeing the huge dent in my chassis rails today, I would like to put my name down for a set also.

Just realised my reply to this thread was a bit late, is this still happening anyway?
