No spare tyre substitutes

Post by alice » Sun Dec 13, 2009 6:19 pm

I've just bought an NC - no spare, Japanese language squirt bottle and mini-compressor to fix a flat. I had an NB, and after a flat on the Albany m/way at 0500 h in the rain with a full boot of luggage and a dog + passenger (long story, pm me for details) I bought a "Smart Spare Slime " kit from Repco.
The Mazda kit seems much more complicated and ain't too intuitive :-
Does anyone have any comments on the pros & cons of the two systems?
Or, does anyone have a translation of the Mazda set?
Oh, and Merry Christmas to all who read this.

you can fit a spare tyre from a "batman" RX7 under the boot in the same way you can in an NaNB by modifying the rear exhaust system.
The RX7 spare wheel is a very nice alloy unit so is light. of course youll need to get a jack as well...

The NZ new NC comes with a jack. I assume all do.
