Toyo Proxes PX4 & Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE001

Fitted a set to the MX5 and very impressed with their performance. Cheaper than the top of the range proxes ($160 each balanced & fitted). Advised by the supplier have better wear and after a trip Wgtn to Tauranga retn was impressed with low road noise and handling.

When I bought four Bridgestone Grid III from Performance Tyres in Morningside, he was able to supply at a price that the larger suppliers could only manage three. Maybe he could do the same for Toyos.

If you go to the website http://unlockme.co.nz you have the chance to win a set of the new preformance Bridgestones.

Ive always used the Bridgestone PIII's and have enjoyed them - the new tyres are supposed to be better.

If one of you lot happen to win the tyres and only knew of the comp because of this forum - you owe me a beer for each corner!

Incidentally the new 'Adrenalin' tyres introduced on this site are being introduced to replace the GIIIs and S-03s. And... they are asymmentrical. I've attached a pic for those who can't be bothered trawling through the marketing web site. I like the GIIIs too - and liked the RE71/710s before them.

There is some discussion on the Assymetyrical design being a bit of a marketing thing rather than a performance necessity.. they probably will sell more tyres as you'll be able to rotate them even less easily than directional tyres.

Also, for those in Akl, I have a friend in Mt Eden who runs a tyre shop. I have a bunch of pricing from him if anyone is interested and will put it in a new topic.

The new 'Adrenalin' tyres ARE directional... The tread pattern on the photo is for the right hand side if looking at the car front on... and when the tyres are turned around they go on the left :D

Ohhh wait scrub that... wasn't thinking... They just look like they do...
