Braided brake line rules?

i cant remember what the rules are with regard to braided lines? was there something with regard to labels or something?

Nah... that was an interim thing from apparently a long time ago. Or an urban legend. I'm not sure which, since I was like 16 back in 2007.
As from March 5 2007, a vehicle owner may have stainless steel braided brake hoses fitted to his vehicle, that do not have any standards markings on them, provided that they are clearly purpose-built automotive brake hoses, and that the end fittings are permanently attached to the hose by way of crimping or swaging.

It used to be that they had to have particular certifications; but the rules were changed because it was hard for WOF inspectors to check that.

I believe you are only allowed braided hoses replacing the flexible hose, not the entire metal lines... the latter requires an authority card I believe.

Crimped connections. My bike didn't comply and had to swap them all out
