Bridgestone Adrenalin RE002 tyres

Post by WideOpenThrottle » Tue Dec 10, 2013 8:42 pm

Anybody running these and are they good enough? as I need new tyres for the NB WOF.

Buy 3 at Bridgestone and get the 4th free!?...at such a good price is there something not so good about them?

I ran RE11 as my wet tyre racing for a bit. Ran them as a daily but when I got a bit sick of the wear dropped down to an RE001. Still loved the shit out of them... RE11 would be the best road tyre Ive ever run, with the RE001 right after. Re002 from memory are getting reviews similar but slightly worse than RE001's. I'll be getting a set next time round :)

I think Harlan might be possibly? I think I'll need new tyres shortly. Where's this deal you speak of and does it have to be the re002?

Other prices I have been quoted

$732.00 for four 195/50/15 Toyo T1R's

$784.00 for 4 Nitto Neo Gens 195/50/15

So for four RE002's the price is $630.00.

All prices incl bal & fit.

The vader car has T1-R in 225/50 but I would not buy the current T1-R again I think I would try something like NITTO or go back to simply driving all the time on semi's (thats what I will do if I change rims or wanna change rubber tbh).

Uubers VVTi silver 'uuber' MX5 has the RE001 & they are very good, Im no pro but I reckon better than the current T1-R which feels a 'teeny bit heavy / clumpy' to me... something definitely changed in the T1-R as they feel different to what the earlier runs felt like.

Tires are still like sails, the most important part of the vehicle, pilot aside, get the best you can I say :)

Thats disappointing, I had T1-R's on my GTI about 3 years ago and loved them. Glad I didn't go with them a few weeks ago.

WideOpenThrottle, I've got some 205/50/15 RE002's on my MX5 at the moment, they grip nicely and handle the wet well too. Not as sticky as the 195/50/15 Achillies 123's I had on before but thats to be expected.

They're much nicer for everyday driving, I'm pretty happy with them so far.

Ordered the RE002's as I too have gone off the TR1's that are currently on the car. Will report on how they feel after a few runs.
