Post by SLYDIT » Mon Jun 18, 2012 9:17 pm

Are the braided lines legal?
thinkin about changing out all mine as they are now 22 years old!

i was told that only the goodridge ones are legal, but do they need a(nother) cert?

They need to have the outer plastic casing on them,Not bare braided,So WOF guys can see if they are leaking...So i believe,Then don't need cert,
Then again if you have a good WOF guy you see exclusively .....

I've got a set at work myself,Earle's braided,no outer casing, keep tossing up if to or not,I would be getting my WOF to fit them,That way if he fails it them, he put them on in the first place !!.

If you do ,get the lines to suit NB ,Slightly longer,as discussed in other threads

Nope. They just have to have the plastic covering and have the ring type connection. Other than that, they are all good to put on as I just had a set put on a month ago

The HEL lines have a very good rep, and although the retail is about NZ$250 odd if there's 10 of us, discount will be significant.

Does anyone know if any are any better than the rest?

after doing a bit of reading, im going with the technifit ones from goodwin.
general consensus is that the goodridge ones rub sometimes and also like to loosen off.
