I "believe" the rules are that to have a roll cage in a road registered vehicle it must have a motorsport application. To this end a log book is required to prove you have a motorsport application and that it has been used in that application at least once.... But I could be wrong...... Seeing as I ...

Hi RMS I had a lot of drama to do that. MANZ have changed the roll bar rules significantly of late and it makes it extremely difficult to install a roll bar let alone a roll cage. Fortunatley Paul from Motorsport Fabrications in Silverdale worked through it. I recommed anyone considering a MANZ lega...

I can vouch for the heavier sway bars, the diference was amazing. My car handled really well fro a road car (Keiths previous Koni Race setup) but adding the sway bars made the turn in and mid corner balance incredible. I also have the PPF / Diff bracing from a 94 (complete subframe). Are there any s...

Stiffer Diff Bushings.

Anyone know if these are readily available here?

I have heard the negatives about high road noise etc but for the track I think it might help the axle tramp type effect I get at the start line.

Could be completely wrong too...

But I figure its worth a shot....

I may be missing something here BUT apart from bling, why do "we" need a willwood rear caliper...?

The weight saving wouldn't be much or even mean much.....?

Brake pads will be dearer.....

Hi Tomtiki - have you seen the specs on the 949 racing site re alignment suggestions for road/track and track cars...?

Might be of interest.

I have used the road/track above 12"setting and found it great on track and awesome on the road.

I would recomend you visit Karl at Takapuna mufflers. He will put various silencer, cobys etc on for you to listen too before he welds them up.

Good guy, good company.

FM Frame Rails alternative.....

Not quite sure which category this falls in to but pretty good mod for anyone with welding skills.....(or who knows a welder...)

I presume this would be NZ road legal...especially if you didn't tell them.....

Donovan and I have had good runs with the iphone and android gps based laptimers on our cell phones.....i beleive the android ones are considered slightly better but they both work (usually).

Mine played up on wednesday but I think it was a dodgy update..

Hi Tomtiki I agree with the others. More sway bar decreases overall traction at that end, so by adding more rear bar you will be taking away steady state grip from the rear...i.e reducing rear grip and adding "balance" to the car. Stiff bars in general help turn in etc but if you ever want to balanc...

As for the top dog lap times, you still need to get into the 1:17's
maybe.......

OR

the average of 8 laps.....

What I learned at Hamptons is Donovan overheats his brakes when his top dog lap times are under (a bit of) pressure

and that he insists that his chrome bling wheels are not a factor..... :P
