Nope, a gtx ecu is for a distributor not coilpacks.

Unless you want to blow up your motor i'd advise against trying to put more air into the motor without a fully programmable aftermarket ecu (e.g link).

Wont work, biggest injectors you can get to idle on a stock ecu are 305cc, gtx ones are 360cc. Without an aftermarket ecu or piggyback you will not get it to run properly if at all

Im in this situation too, am about to buy a shell off Dylan that needs a new screen.
Have ended up getting a screen off another mx5 being wrecked so will hopefully only have to pay for 2x removals and 1 install.

Looking on nzta there doesnt seem to be a limit to how long you can keep it on hold for.
"The maximum exemption period is 12 months, but you can apply for subsequent exemptions."

The thought has crossed my mind but this chassis is pretty much toast, would need to go on a straightener then probably tube frame.

Will likely get another shell and swap as much as i can over.

Had the go-pro running when it happened

Im fine, didnt hurt anything in the crash, just hurt my hand while i was taking the front end apart afterwards.

Fairly certain that the chassis would be too expensive to get it back on the road so may end up reshelling it

I take it the car doesnt have a hardtop? These cars are pretty floppy without one although i thought they'd greatly improved it on the nb's

Did you get an alignment after lowering it? Toe out will chew through the inner edge more than camber will.

Best to take it for an alignment, 4 wheel alignments are usually $60-80, they may even offer a discounted rate when you get new tyres
