Slydit - not sure, we just had a massive clean out but I'll check monday. Skilful - going to run in ACJS......Classic Japanese. Which is where the motor, brakes and suspension came from when on Keith Jones's black beauty. Which we'll soon see with 2low2c when he is finished building it as a n/a from...

built4speed, is there any word on the taupo rounds. The web site link says tbc or something.

After racing bikes for years I am a bit over the drive and stay in manfield, not to mention that place is freezing cold......almost colder than Taupo!

Would be very interested in a taupo round.....

Hi Jarrod, does your race series head up any further north than Manfield?

Being 2 seats in and still not quite comfortable, I am really keen to sample the seat before I place the order....

You wouldn't mind me trying it out for size at some point would you?

Mark.

Yeah but what does a hardtop spoiler do to the airflow... Is it a definate improvement or one based on logic (i agree it should help).....but does it? Reason I ask is that the U.S race guys (not miata cup etc but open class) dont seem to use them. I would have thought that if it was a proven thing, ...

I am not sure what you mean getting your nuts sluiced off... A 5 point harness is the minimum safety for most racing. If they "sluiced" off your nuts I cant see that being very safe....? Nor would it be FIA approved :) Anyway, I almost daily drive mine with a 6 point through a central hole in the se...

Damn Yahoo.jp! I just bought a very tidy Honda NSR250R SP with the super rare lightweight wheels. Guess coming to the isle of man tt wasn't a good idea More info please. Raced these and have imported a few on trips to the Tokyo auctions with Cyclespot (owner is a good mate). Love these bikes and re...

He also IS running a business. Being self employed is very, very difficult and I quite frankly admire his restrain...

Thanks for the advice guys, a fellow forumite has kindly offered to share with his pending order. Carbon is tempting but I think i'll stick with fibreglass. Carbon Miata - Rain Rails, anyone else want anything?

I want to order some rain rails, anyone else want to combine an order in the interests of cutting freight...?

Or is it cheap enough not to worry?

Also, if anyone has them can you say if they work or not...?

Cheers
Mark.

I talked to Keith about this, he had a couple of big issues with 5 speeds letting go.

He went to Quaife as the 6 speeds were an unknown quantity then.

Hi Redben, I have studied this hard at Miata turbo and they have pretty much decided the mx5 6 speed can handle up to 450 hp in a race car all day and probably a lot more. I am pretty sure they are yet to see a failure un related to other circumstances i.e. not power related. They are pretty finicky...

I had simialr issues with my number plate being in front of the radiator opening.... Maybe trying with it off or relocated could be a worthy test, if it is in that position....... I would also ensure you have the pastic undertray installed. From my research, some cars dont respond well to this not b...
