You can get felxy extention hoses for grease guns. You may be able to find one with smaller end..... good on ya for 'fessing up on the grease.... I remember trying to fit my first tube as mine had no instructions at all.

The easy way to work out the drill size is to deduct the thread pitch from the thread size.
