Gravel is so much fun in these cars :D Good to see you're enjoying your car on the track, I want to do that with mine but can't until I spend money I don't have on things I need :(

Nice, wondered how 205/50's would look on an 8 inch rim. I'm hoping to fit 215's or 225's on an 8. But I think thats a pipe dream because I refuse to run fender flares.

Yeah any side-on photos or something to show the profile? I've got 205/50/15 on a 6.5 and it doesn't look anything as baloon'd as that. Probably just an illusion as CordedBowl said.

Decent pads and a brake fluid flush/replace will go a long way, makes a huge difference on its own.

Also handbrake performance in MX5's is notoriously bad, a lot of them need proper adjustment afaik. All 3 of mine have been laughable.

Yeah I guess the only deciding factor at this stage is the engine choice, but at that weight they can't really disappoint, I hope. Would love to see what a hardtop version looks like.

Damn, NC is a nice tidy car when standard, looks great with a few mods. The ND looks great out of the box imo.

Hmm if I remember right, there was a guy in the North Shore running an NB with 300 atw who broke a few 6 speeds. But each case comes down to the driver too, I have a feeling some people are ruthless with their cars which will cause them to break. Isn't something like the 01-02 5spd box meant to be t...

Actually I quite liked Mad Mikes Redbull Drift Shifters thing, points based system off of sensors based on how close they got to things and the angle.

Live scoring made it a shitload of fun to watch too.

Going to be entering mine into this, should be interesting to see what it can run. Won't be doing full power launches though as I'll destroy my clutch.

I think Jazz is one of those tough guys that tries to fight everyone in town, hes starting to swing his dick around and smash his knuckles on his chest. Its easy to talk about racing for pinks when you've spent fuck all on your car. Why don't you post a few photos of your engine set up? And please k...

People poo-poo Parakai but last time I went (a year ago) it wasn't bad, fairly quiet compared to Waiwera. Can't say anything about Miranda as I've never been.

I can recommend going during a weekday, no screaming snivelling kids to deal with :D

:( I miss the old owners from Fay's Place in Helensville. Some new people took it over a few years back and it hasn't been the same since. Used to be a nice place to go for a run out to and get a nice feed.

Is your daughters car auto or manual? If its manual I wouldn't recommend the cup holder, just looks like it'd get in the way when you're shifting. If you look at the spot where the back of the centre console sits between the two seats, you can wedge drinks in there and it acts as a cup holder. Sent ...

That was my first thought too, good buying for $1500. Race it till that gearbox gives out then replace it with another 5 speed.
