I had the engine temperature sensor replaced last week, just need to go through this tank to see where I'm at. The previous tank was 10.14l per 100km.

Next step that the garage has suggested is to send the air flow meter to Tauranga to be checked. Does this sound reasonable?

Don't get me wrong I'm all about saving money/not wasting gas but I just hope you have run the numbers as to how much 'extra' per tank you will save by spending money to fix this issue. At some point this is going to be an uneconomic exercise, you have already dished money & time on a new O2 sensor...

I replaced the K&N filter with a stock one during the last service. This was one of the first things I changed trying to sort out this problem. Then watched the MCM video on performance gains using after market air filters giving no performance difference I decided to leave it off. I changed the plu...

I think that I would send them out flat and people could bend them however they preferred.

At this stage I think we will have them laser cut using Snapfrozen's CAD drawing if he consents.

The new 3 wire O2 sensor is now fitted. Looks to be making a bit of difference as there is now no black smoke when the motor is run up. Will fill it up tonight and keep an eye on the fuel...

you dont even need all that bracket. the number plate is fairly rigid as it is....just get some 50x3 flat bar from bunnings and bend it to suit. I am sure you could make a bracket like you suggest. I though prefer a more finished / professional look. I will edit the first post with to show how many...

I will go and have it fitted tomorrow.

That could work out. Just have to see if people are more interested in having a name brand option or the cheapest option. I have not contacted Garage Star yet to ask for prices, but I guess that they would be somewhere about $70.00 NZD each depending on the amount of people who partake. Having them ...

ok guys, time to report back. I've filled up the car 5 times since I have changed the O2 sensor. Done a mixture of driving and can say that the new O2 sensor has not made a big difference to my fuel usage. It's now down to 8.8 litres per 100km of driving. Don't know what to try next... I'm open to s...

Great to see so many people out even on a rainy night!
Well worth the trip up, nice to put some face's to names, see some cool cars and get some inspiration for my car.

To top the night off we didn't even get a speeding ticket!
