Um, it's night time under lights  But that is it's good side. The L/F has been dinged at some point and they used bog to fix it which has since cracked  It's hard to notice but once you see it..... And it has the typical slightly different shade of red nose cone. But yeah it is pretty tid...

93 NZ new 1800, I ran it on 95 for 1600ks in a trip around the SI. I got the same economy as the GF does using 91 around town  She won't put anything other than 91 in it because it costs more  On 95 it does seem to run just a little smoother, on 91 it has a barely noticeable stutter aroun...

My GF was talking to her doc who rolled his MX5 and swears his roll bar (proper one not a style bar) saved his life she is getting insistent on wanting one. He put it upside down and the A pillars collapsed. That pic above of the hoop style one looks like they have to keep the window zipped uo in th...

Sorted a hardtop for the missus car the other night http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7283/8743926992_599b4b4b96_z.jpg So spent some time today perfecting the adjustment. Of course then I had to test drive it. Twice. Then decided that seeing as she is in the UK for a month I might test drive it for a mo...

Autolign will sell Dobi's, or Cobra if there is no Dobi. They also do TEIN which I cannot recommend enough. They also do or used to do a Euro brand that the name of escapes me! However I have had no MX5 experience with any of the those brands. TEIN however actually do test all their products. For ex...

Yeah that's what I mean, split the L/R in to two signals each, one set for each head rest. So 2 Lefts, 2 rights.

Ok, managed to nick it while she was at work (it's now been sideways :P )
Couldn't find any wires coming out of the floor.

I assume all they do is split the L/R signals into two and run one of each to each seat? Looks like I'll have to run some wires myself. Going to be tricky without her knowing!

From past expereince if you are ready in plenty of time and are all organised, you will have problems.
if you are up until 3am the night before putting the engine back in and turn up with 4 hours sleep and still tightening things at scrutineering you will win :P

Good luck! 8)

Being RHD our lights dip to the left away from on coming traffic. LHD dip to the right and are illegal in nz.

Narvo do a.90mm that will suit. Not cheap though

They don't seem to list a mounting bucket for the 165x100 then. Kinda makes that option a no-go unless you can adapt a mount off a car that uses them

If using the Hella rectangle ones mentioned above, you will need 1044. As pointed out it has park lights in it. You will also need 1024 mounting for them as well. You should be able to get them for under $100 a side if you can get some trade discounts. The plus of using those is if you ever need a r...

Its actually the exact opposite on a turbo motor the less backpressure the better 2.5 or 2.75 will restrict the torque more than the top end hp basically if the pressure is less after the turbo and higher before the turbo the pressure difference across the turbo creates a vacuum which pulls the air...

Headrest speakers NZ new

Were these an option in the NZ new 1800s? (1993) Or not at all?
I was under the impression it would have them but no sound!
Haven't had a chance to check for wiring yet, more trying to work out if there is speakers in the seats or not

Some good bulbs should make a difference too.
Hella and Narva both do bulbs that will put out more light as well as better "colour"
Am doing this to the GFs MX this weekend. Hella p/n XD1255/60UP
