Yep...that's the one I have.
They used to have others in the Vertex range, suitable for V8s but no longer by the looks of it. Not sure if they others they sell would suit your application....

Gave my car its annual outing around Ruapuna in the SIERDC 1 hour race on Saturday. Neil Foster from Auckland in a Audi R8 LMS Ultra won, and perhaps unsurprisingly I was beaten by a flock of Porsche GT3 Cup cars, a Ferrari 458 Challenge not to mention a couple of Corvettes! Great fun racing with ex...

Drove the new V8 for the first time - just around the block. Basically transferred the running gear from my rough silver NA into a tidy V Spec NA. In theory cheaper than a paint job but a long job. Just need a wheel alignment then certifying... . Love that lack of traction! If you are at Ruapuna fo...

Grainger's Workshop Manual (7.33) notes that in some countries, the NA had reflectors in the bumpers, not lights. NZ is one of those countries...my NZ new 1.8 had no lights/harnesses. I believe your WOF inspector is incorrect....and that these lenses are best described as 'reflectors'.

Silver RS...its also the most powerful, being the VVti engine.
Buying the hardtop already on the car makes sense, price wise, usually.

Just an observation...NZ MX5's are generally all top spec, unlike some other markets where the intro price is smaller engine, smaller wheels, fewer gears in the box etc etc.. NZ new cars will include 3 yrs servicing... US prices often have 'destination/dealer charges' added to their suggested retail...

The MX5's manual gearbox has been one of its key features since 1989...and the car itself thrives on the open road, the twistier the better. Don't deny yourself all the available performance/responsiveness for a little in city commuting convenience by going auto (3 speed with overdrive v. 6 speed ma...

Suggest you remove a wheel, inspect hub mounting face and or inside of spokes/rim for width and offset...then weigh the wheel/tyre combo. Typically road tyres of the same size are a similar weight, so you can then deduce the rim weight. In my view, a 6.5 inch rim is adequate on a road going NB, as i...

Haha I think quite a few of us are in that camp Ian (hoping for less weight than the car actually has). At half tank with driver mine came to around 1048kg (with Daisies though.. I should put it on the scales with the 6ULs to see how big a difference they make). I don't think they'll make 148 kg wo...
