You can use eith in the JR CAI. Usually the replacement is a standard type pleated paper filter, but you can use a filter designed to be oiled eg K&N etc Obviously if you 'oil' a paper filter you will have issues... Got mine from the UK, wired them into the sidelight circuit, and was promptly informed at my next WOF that the DRLs must go off when the headlights come on!
The mechanic even showed me in the WOF Manual where this is covered....
