Ugh, why can't they just make it a fixed top, lighter, stronger, better handling, more storage, instead they put a weighty bunch of electric motors and gizmos.

Mazda, just do a fixed roof fastback, less weight, and more rigid............

Then stick a V8 in it and give me a call

Trailer

I want one of these to replace mine existing trailer

http://www.futuratrailers.com/single

Think my rental of a box of beers for my trailer might have to go up, a lot.

My Vertex came from Batteries Direct, Auckland. (refer their website) Ian Thanks, looked at the Vertex before, only around $225, but the guy that sells them, reckons that they would be no good for starting the V8, only handles little 4cyl motors. Pity, as they are even lighter than the odyssey, and...

So is this it?

http://www.powervampracing.co.nz/Shop/b ... 80-battery

Seems to be not that much more than buying it from overseas, although some of the places that I looked at, where asking close to $500 for them??

Dunno how people can justify such a range.

New Battery

My old battery is on it's way out, was thinking about replacing it with one of those light weight race units, think they are lithium-ion batteries.

Anyway, anyone know of a good place to get them.

was one of the coils, in fact the only after market coil that was on the engine for some reason (had all original coils on it when it went to the installers), so no longer running the worlds only v7 MX5 anymore, back to all 8 purring away. On my 3rd oil filter in about 5000k's, keep ripping them apa...

problem is, it isn't all the time, only misfires about 20% of the time, and when it does, no where around to stop and pull plugs out. Have had a chat to the guys that do my tuning, they said chances are it is leads rather than the coils themselves. They have also suggested that because it is happeni...

Just missing that spark

My electrical gremlins seem to be on the increase (or I am hoping this one is electrical). Over the past couple of weeks have been randomly down on power and running like a dog like it is down a cylinder or two. I am starting to suspect that I have either a faulty spark plug or coil. The plugs are t...

Replaced it with exactly the same type and part number relay, as I have two other NA's sitting around doing not much, so yeah, problem was the relay, nothing else.

Ended up changing the flasher relay before the indicator stalk, and that solved the problem.

No idea why the one relay would cause only one side to fail, but there you go.

Have replaced the bulbs already, but will replace the whole assembly next, front first and then rear unit. It's a pain the in the arse, since it is on the right hand side, seem to turn mostly to the right, and that is always crossing traffic, so get some not very nice gesture's at times from people ...

Light of my life

Seem to have an intermittent gremlin in my car, and that the turning right indicator sometimes works, but mostly doesn't. Haven't changed the bulbs in it, but when it doesn't work neither front or rear work, and then randomly they start to flash for a second or two and then stop. Left hand side work...

for 2KCup you can strip out some of the interior if you have a full rollcage fitted, and being a softtop you are supposed to have some sort of roll protection in place. I can't remember what bit of the interior you can remove, think carpet and door cards maybe, still have to leave the dash in place....
