hmm, just clicked your link and got this: You’re seeing this message because the 4Car website has closed. Launched ten years ago as an online companion for the TV show Driven, 4Car grew into one of the foremost sources of independent car reviews, news and features in the UK. Unfortunately the curren...

Amazing. I have to admit, I don't dig the look, but the pure practicality of getting rid of air and not having to worry about punctures; tire pressure etc really appeals. I can't help but feel that like any major new innovation with significant repercussions on existing economic interests, there wil...

I chuckled a bit when on the news last night they said that his sponsors, Nike etc, "stick behind him 100%". I'm sure they will keep saying just that - until the very moment before the contracts expire. Curious morality I know, worrying about Tiger's transgressions when you're selling shoes and gar...

One of the most entertaining posts I've read in quite a while.

I do draw the line when driving behind a vehicle blowing so much black smoke that you risk being asphyxiated

sidebar: I used to run a lot when I lived in Christchurch and during winter I would spit black snot if I ran in the evening

Pic of my GT4 with the new 18inch Konig Unkowns :o A complete transformation compared to the 16 inch stock mags. Also makes the ride a little more firm, but still feels soft compared to my MX5, which literally rattles my teeth! (the Mazdaspeed Miata has even stiffer suspension than the regular MX5, ...

Looks like the paint is completely AWOL, I'm out of luck on that one. To be honest, it's not really that it went missing, it's that the vendor clearly could care less. I've bought from them before, so it's disappointing. The dude who sold the ligher has turned out to be OK -I think he just has too m...

Trademe shenanigans

So last week I made a couple of small purchases on trademe 1st was a cigarette lighter because my new Toyota Celica didn't have one. Not that I smoke but I just want to fill in the hole :) I get an email telling me courier costs so I pay the full amount immediately, send them an email with shipping ...

Hey mate, my estimate was for my GT4 and was only based on this option, factoring in labour costs:

I'm sure the MX5 could be done a lot cheaper

Hmm, well assuming you are not just browsing pages that are already cached to your computer, then perhaps what has happened is that you have loat the ability to browse international web-sites.

This could be an issue speciifc to your ISP and I would expect regular service to resume shortly :)

sorry if i offended anyone, yes there are some very tasteful mods which do add value to the car. and as i am a boy at heart i will also add my touch to the car, but i will always keep the original stuff to go with it. Except for the factory tape deck which was stuffed and went into the bin, and now...

You are right it will be interesting. When you think of the mini and the beetle, both of those were mass produced. I think the NA will be the most sort after (not just coz i have one =) because it was the original and most basic. Well as an owner of a 2004 NB factory turbo (known as the Mazdaspeed ...

But that's the thing Mark, people get so emotive about the inconvenience of wearing a helmet, because no one is expecting or intending to be in an accident, that's why it's called an accident. Based on that logic you could argue the same about wearing a seatbelt when driving down to the Dairy. Remem...

To the best of my knowledge, Mobil 98 is only available in the North Island, and even Nelson (last time I looked) had no BP 98!! These are the only 2 with fuel companies with 98 in the country that I am aware of, but could be wrong. I run my MX5 on BP98 as I have advanced timing and as a safeguard ...

This is all good stuff, and definately shows up my ignorance on this subject.

Speaking of ignorance, I normally buy from Caltex, the techron engine cleaning marketing thingy made me think it was agood fuel choice -but isn't the best they offer 95? Should I be going to PB instead?

lol And getting back on topic, it looks like the age will rise after a strong show of public support.. Yes, it's not going to make the roads perfect, and there are many other things that can be done. But fundamentally, 15 is too young. http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/3080287/Driving-age-set...

Al Gore, Profit, Scam. Last I heard it's been the coldest since the mid 1940's, What a crock of shizit. Would anyone like to buy some carbon credits or maybe some fuel?
