Who runs all the skid pan events these days? Got a couple mates who want to learn to slide their cars without worrying about walls etc. Plus I wouldn't mind doing one cos I can't afford a full track day.

Yea the entry is pretty quick, dont have a speedo but i think its 140 ish. whatever about 5k rpm in 4th is with 4.1 6 speed and 195/50,haha. -BRM, you mean coming into the hairpin? its sorta crazy cos you have to change down, but also scrub a lot of speed off, so theres usually plenty of handbrake a...

4.1 rear end.
That's all 4th, go back into 3rd for the hairpin then up to 4th again. I probably didn't have to use quite that much handbrake, but your going pretty quick, and the gap isn't that big so I probably pull it more than I need to out of fear, haha.

Ive included all of the laps in these vids, so theyre quite long/boring, but i like to watch myself to see what i did wrong etc, haha. Also yo...

A little bit different to get used to, if you let the rear grip up you get a bit of push understeer, but kicks out more aggressively on a clutch kick, and will hold a slide when throttle off quite a bit longer. Definitely think it was a good move for this car, should be even better when I buy some q...

Has enough power to hold a good drift in 4th so thats got me happy, haha.

those other wheels are Axis OG Banzai's, or DTM banzai's they are branded as in nz.

I think my hydro isn't amazing due to the cylinder size, or maybe the leverage ratio. It only has maybe 25-30mm throw at the handle. So either a smaller diameter master cylinder or better lever angles would help. Still easily twice as good as my cables were, and that was after modifying the cable br...

Factory handbrake was a fail for me too, I always adjusted it before track days, modified to improve the lever angles at the caliper for more leverage, and was still always dissapointed. hydro has sorted my issues, still have to pull it pretty hard tho, think i need to try a different size master.

Always used the stock PCV with a catch can, never had any issues, never pushed any significant amount of oil out , just vapours

Yea I believe it was from supercheap. The first time I did a diff oil change, I did it using a garden hose running out the wheel arch, was all sorts of messy and painful, these things make it heaps easier. Next track day im wanting to do will be hamptons, hopefully will happen in the next couple mon...
