My MX5 5 speed doesn't rev as high as that at 100kph. Do you have low profile tyres on? The difference in tyre size from a 185 - 65 x 14 to a 185 - 55 x 14 is 6.21%, quite a difference in revs I would think. After the roll bar was fitted, I had no problem continuing my insurance with
NZI. I think that if the mods are reasonable and legal, most insurance
companies shouldn't have a problem.
