Are the lenses dull on your lights? that will make them not work well. If so get a lens polish kit and clean them up. Will make a huge difference in my experience.

if the central locking is aftermarket, they have a connector that attaches to the actuator rod and uses 2 screws to lock it in place. these can move over time so you may need to reset the position of it.

Re: New ND mx5 just $31,990 AUD

Its all about volume. When you are selling to a market with hundreds of millions of people, you will sell more cars so can make a lower profit on each one. When you are selling to a market of 4 million you will sell stuff all so hike the profit margin to sell even less How the hell does the price go...

If you dont have compressed air, last resort is to remove the plugs and let the water drain down down the spark plug holes, then reassemble and the water will burn off/come out through the exhaust.

OK,That makes sense now thanks Peter, any idea where I can purchase them from at a decent rate? Unfortunatly not. I have only one left, my usual supplier of them has gone to sealed beams for some unknown reason so i no longer have a supplier for the cheap semi sealed, only the expensiver Narva ones...

The standard headlight is a sealed beam (bulb is part of the lamp and not replaceable, replace whole light when blown)
The semi sealed lamp has a replaceable h4 bulb. Some semi sealed lamps include a bulb, but most dont so they need to be purchased also when the semi sealed lamps are purchased.

I got our cup holder from a guy who advertised in the mx5 club magazinne, but stopped some time ago. I think he brought a few in from the states and sold them to cover the cost of the one he wanted for himself.

Strangley enough i was in a customers workshop today and heard him pass a car on a wof with a borderline tyre, he said " it passes as the tyre is just within limits today, but it wont last till the next wof so you will need to get it replaced before then". So it sounds like he would have passed your...

Pop the bonnet and on each headlight motor you will see a black rubber cover on top, remove that and there is a knob to manually wind the lights up or down. From memory the knob is red with direction arrows on the top
