Just got my 06 RS finished. Mazdaspeed front and rear bumpers. Mazdaspeed boot spoiler. BC gold adjustable suspension. Led day running lights. 17" Manaray wheels. We had the quad exhaust made as the single factory outlets looked a bit small in the bumper cutouts. Resprayed the whole car and thought ...

hood.

If the hood is good, its a simple job to have a upholsterer sew in a new plastic window.
You can get a nb glass window and fit it into the early hood and modify the frame but its a lot of work for not much gain.
Id stick with plastic. Fold it when you put the roof down and It will last well.

Ive seen to many cut roofs from r soles trying to steal stereos. The trick is to remove the radio face and leave the doors unlocked. Disconnect the door locking solenoids on the alarm so it sets but doesn't lock the doors Set your alarm. Thiefs will try to open the door first. When that happens the ...

Tradein.

That sill rust is a common problem. The sill plates are held on with screws and double side tape that absorbs moisture and causes the rust.
Most times just superficial surface rust,Ive never seen it rust through and make a hole.

Chassis plates.

If you have a NZ new car with the chassis plates shown you can import into Australia no problems.
NZ new cars always had the ADR compliance plate.
Chassis plate always showed the date manufactured and fire wall numbers are different from Japanese versions.
Ive never seen a 1988 manufactured car.

V8 NB

Had this visit yesterday from Auckland.
A very nice upgrade
It has a LS1 V8 and 6 speed. Big brakes, adjustable suspension, cage etc.
The silver NB looks standard from the outside but sure goes a lot faster than standard and sounds great.

Most will come out when dead flat.
NA cars have a tank drain plug which is the best way to ensure you get all of the fuel out.

Stop/tail bulbs are standard offset pin. Indicator and reverse bulbs are parallel pin. There LED replacements avaliable. Look good and never blow. You need to do the following mod to the flasher unit as it will hyper flash with led bulbs as theres not enough resistance. http://forum.miata.net/vb/sho...

The window stop adjustment is the problem. Make sure the roof is latched down and tight. Take of the door panel and you will see the 2 stops. Put the window down then bring it up so you can close the window without it hitting the roof. Tighten the stops onto the window at that point. You dont want t...

Its easy to clean off when it dries.

Waterpipe.

Engineers and brass fittings, pressure testing each one and a run of 30 of these are not cheap, although compared to the work to remove the front of the engine or to buy a new lower thermostat housing its not to bad.
