I've got a RS*R 4-2-1 header and a Autoexe cat-back... It's perfect for me... pretty tame while cruising, but has a nice sound when you give it some throttle...

If one corner is almost where it should be, it sounds like the other corners might be binding up somehow? Did you torque all the bolts while the car was still in the air?

If you replace the cat with a straight pipe your exhaust will be significantly louder. Possibly too loud to get a wof if the rest of your exhaust is loud. I have a RSR header and an Autoexe exhaust and I think it would be too loud without the cat.

Nina (wrw in the link) has had to take her seats out though after 2 years and 4 wof's of having them, because one wof inspector decided that they now need to be certed. lol. I just found some new info on the LVVTA website that seems to say that they shouldn't be looking at the rails at all - just th...

Aftermarket Exhaust

Does anyone know where I might be able to get a nice cat-back exhaust for an NA? Or am I going to be reduced to ordering one from either Oz or the US? I just want something with a nice snarl to it. It doesn't hurt if it is polished stainless steel either.. This Racing Beat one sounds nice... ...

Another vote for the Toyo T1-R here. While they will not last as long as some of the other tyres, the grip that they give you in the dry and the wet will always put a smile on your face.

Hi emexfive! Hope you have as good an experience with NZ as I have. I'm originally from Tennessee and have been living in Tauranga for the past two years. From my experience any ribbing you get for being from the US is generally good natured. :) I hope to be putting my 91 Silverstone up for sale in ...

I had this same exact thing happen on my previous '90 mx-5. It turned out to be related to the ignition switch as Euen mentioned. On my car it seems that the metal contacts had become dirty. The next time it happens, jiggle the key up and down a bit to see if your wipers or blower come back on. If s...

Apparently its very common for the rear window to blow out of the soft top when a U.S spec airbag goes off!!!!!!! That was not my experience with my mx-5. I did end up with small burns on the sleeves of my fleece pullover, though. I ended up getting a puffy lip from the airbag, too. I attribute tha...
