Severely blown head gasket. pull off the head and see how warped it is. Your probably best off replacing the engine.

edit: make sure it is coming from under the head first. tbh iv never heard of something this sever. could just be hose/radiator leak or something. see if there is coolant in your oil.

throttle sticking 1997 1.8

The throttle is sticking for under half a second when i lift my foot off the gas peddle. the throttle is not actually mechanically sticking, i think it is a sensor or something. when i redline the car ill get a big puff of black smoke out the exhaust which might mean the engine is still getting fuel...

your better off buying a running car. individual parts are expensive. i know what you mean about finding a decent priced one. /motors/used-cars/mazda/auction-866435679.htm if this guy isn't a liar 2.5 would be an alright deal. iv noticed though when people say 'excellent' for its age, the word means...

the auto 1.6 cams have less lift or something, i'm not sure about the bottom end. in any case you won't make as much hp turbod. as far as the 1.6 being more revier, iv owned both and you change the timing on a 1.8 to make feel more like the 1.6. not that this matters at all when you turbo it you can...
