That doesn't surprise me really. Do many people run an open diff in the MX5 cup? It seems like on stock power, with a well tuned suspension setup it would be competitive. All have lsds as far as I'm aware, if the cars setup right you can carry enough corner speed to negate wheel spin. The plate lsd...

We've found the factory vlsd is just as fast as a plate diff in a mx5 cup car.

Shockproof oil is bad news for syncros. I use mt90 in my evo and it gives a nice shift.

Had this problem with mine. I removed the black cover and found a piece of solder slag was crossing 2 pins together. Was a defect from the factory. Have a look.

Incorrect as far as I know you don't apply the turbo conversion factor. It only needs a 1L one. My evo only had a 1L one being 1996cc. Ill even ask at scrutineering when the mx5 goes thru today to confirm.

Those spring rates are way too soft imho. I would swap the 6kg to the rear and get some 9kg for the front. Ive always been told to never run preload, just enough tension to stop the spring rattling round. This is from guys who setup V8 touring cars etc. Corner weighting is important, you can't setup...

Check you have the leads in the right order on the coil packs.
Some ecus will require the temperature input, unsure if mx5s do.

put it at the throttle plate. that way you keep the volume of air flowing through the intercooler and pipes. if you put it at the turbo, the air in the pipes and intercooler still stalls and has to restart again... The correct place for a bov is the easiest place for you to fit it. Its location has...

Couple of similar opinions. 1. For a wet/weekend car tyre, you cant go past the top end Bridgestones like an RE002. Theyre amazing in the wet but still wear well for daily/weekend use. 2. For semi slicks, dont be afraid to try the Achilles 123. I lost a fraction of a second compared to my R888 but ...

We run r888s on the cup cars and you cant beat them for value. I think we get them cheaper because toyo is the series supplier. I wouldn't bother forking out extra for dunlops unless your chasing the last 1/10s. A few mates have tried nittos and they say they are junk, ones now back on r888s the oth...

If its mild steel you have done something wrong to crack it.. Do you have a flexi as close to the turbo as possible and if the wastegate is seperate and then joins the exhaust it will need a flexi too. Do you have a brace off your block to support the weight of the turbo? Also check the flanges for ...
